Hi, my name is Matt. I’m 11-years-old. My hometown is Platteville, Wisconsin. I’ve had chickens for about three years now. Last summer we got our chicks from Hoover’s Hatchery. So last summer, I had I had a broody buff orpington who hatched out two chicks. Well, we decided if she was going to care for two, she might as well tend to a few more, so we got her some more chicks from Hoover’s Hatchery, and the buff orpington adopted them without hesitating. I was very anxious waiting for the box to come. All of the chicks were healthy when we got them. They were also very active like playing, eating, and drinking. The chicks grew up to be strong and not only great laying hens, but cute too! I also got three hens in an assorted mix. One of them was a Sapphire Olive Egger. We call her Olive and she is one of my favorite hens. She is also very curious. Anyway BIG thanks to Hoover’s Hatchery for supplying me with my chicks and letting me tell my story.
