Of course, at Hoover’s Hatchery, we think you should have dozens of chickens on your farm. In all reality, we understand that each of you have chickens for different reasons. The Little Bitty Life that Lana has started with her husband and chickens is a fun one. She lives in Northwest Arkansas, surrounded by a tiny cove of  trees.  This sure sounds like the ideal setting when it comes to raising chickens.

Lana loves her Rhode Island Reds, and we do too. Lana gets an average of 200 eggs per year, per bird! And healthier birds, she gets more……And yes, we have Rhode Island Reds! {{widget type=”catalog/product_widget_link” template=”catalog/product/widget/link/link_block.phtml” id_path=”product/134″}}-

Think of all the awesome egg dishes you can serve up with all of those eggs.

Three hens will give you many eggs and get you some tasty food on your table!  If you want more than three, go for it.

And we all understand that wonderful feeling of providing for our families- being a homesteading family is just one of those feelings that everyone should experience!

Lana has great advice on why you need three hens. We’d love to hear your thoughts on Why You Need Three Hens!  Leave us a comment or two here. We are sure Lana would love to hear from you as well, after all; her Itty Bitty Farm is inspiring many.
